Beth Wylie | Charter DirectorBeth began her work at Fuente Nueva as a parent volunteer when her oldest son enrolled in the first kindergarten class. As the school developed, Beth designed and implemented an Extended Day program. In 2005 she became the “lead petitioner” for Fuente Nueva’s Charter Petition and later accepted the position of the Charter Director.
Upon earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Millersville University, Beth gained her Pennsylvania teaching credential in 1992. After experiencing the constraints of the public education system, Beth left the classroom and worked for several years in a non-profit mental health services agency. After her three children were born, she dedicated herself to the role of stay-at-home mother.
When Beth joined the Fuente Nueva team in the role of Charter Director she gained valuable on the job experience as an administrator. Since her start at FNCS, Beth has gained her California Teaching Credential, authorization to teach English language learners, school business manager and finance training, and the all-important Certificate of Achievement from the Charter School Leadership Boot Camp through the Charter School Development Center.
Spanish for all levels! We offer a culturally enriching, fun filled, dynamic experience that promotes Spanish language learning. Our daily activities include a mix of games, stories, songs, projects & clubs. The last three weeks of summer camp offer a unique, full Spanish immersion experience where the full day will be conducted entirely in Spanish. Students with all levels of Spanish are welcome!
CRABS baseball players will be joining us for Field Day!
Field Day activities for students begin at 10am.
Please feel free to send your students to school with an item that can be signed by the Crabs baseball players (e.g. shirt, baseball cap, or baseball/softball, etc.).
Reminder: Early dismissal day of 1:00pm.
Please consider joining us for the Graduation ceremony at 10:15 and stay for lunch on the lawn afterwards. Each grade kindly takes turns giving a “gift” to our graduating 5th graders in celebration of their 5th grade graduation. The ceremony is one of the sweetest events we have all year and is meaningful, regardless of your child’s grade. We know it is in the middle of the work day which is a challenge for most parents. I am confident that if you are able to join us, you will be charmed and perhaps even moved by the love that is felt in our community that day. Reminder: Early dismissal day of 1:00pm.
