On Monday 10/28, we had a successful school day with no power at Fuente Nueva, thanks to our amazing community. Due to our dwindling resources and the current state of emergency in California, we will not have school tomorrow, Tuesday 10/29, if there is no power at 6:30am, or if the county is in the process of shutting down power at 6:30am. Please expect an update via our mass communication system in the morning.
This time around, the Humboldt County Office of Education is going to try to keep things up to date on this Google Spreadsheet. The link is going to have the most up-to-date info throughout the outage.
For the most recent school closure information, see The Lost Coast Outpost or kymkemp.com
We have power and school will resume today ,Thursday 10/10 with a ONE HOUR DELAY. That means students may arrive for before care at 8:30, and the regular day will begin at 9:30. This will give us time to ensure we are prepared for critical services. Thank you everyone for your patience and understanding. See you soon!

The end of the year has come, and we have a lot for
which to be grateful. Please consider joining us for the
Graduation ceremony at 10:15 and stay for lunch on the
lawn afterwards. The ceremony is one of the sweetest
events we have all year and is very meaningful,
regardless of your child’s grade. We know it is in the
middle of the workday which is a challenge for most
parents. I am confident that if you can join us, you will be
charmed and perhaps even moved by the love that is
felt in our community that day.
