Halloween Costume & Guidance & Parade

Halloween is just around the corner and we have a few requests so that all students may have a joy filled day. If you have any questions after reading this, please reach out!
  1. Leave weapons at home. If your student has a weapon that is integral to the costume, ask yourself if your student can handle that responsibility. For example, if your child will be Harry Potter – we get it a wand is an important part of that costume. How will your child use that wand? Can they handle it without pointing at others and casting spells? If yes, they can bring the wand. Prepare your child that it will be asked to go away after the parade.
  2. Masks and gore must not be scary for our youngest kiddos. Leave the gorey parts of costumes for trick or treating. Prepare your child that masks will be asked to go away after the parade.
On Friday morning we will hold a parade at 8:55am and we are excited to invite families to watch! Arrive between 8:30 and 8:50 to be given a spot on campus to watch the kiddos go by. You will be asked to:
  • Wear a mask at all times
  • Maintain 6 feet distance from others
  • Maintain a greater than 6 feet distance from students
As a reminder we do not have school on 11/1 so teachers can attend an in-service day of staff development.
