For Lunch the cafeteria will be serving Spaghetti

 

TRiO Seniors that are planning to attend CR in the Fall, make sure to submit your field trip forms as soon as possible!!  Forms must be submitted by the end of the week to guarantee your spot! Make sure you have applied to CR and have your Student ID ready.  We will be visiting the CR campus on Thursday, May 30th to get you registered for classes and tour the Certificate Trade programs that are available to you there.  The first year is FREE for all full-time students, but you must have your FAFSA submitted (be sure to complete it if you haven’t yet!!).   

 

TRiO meetings will be on Tuesday, May 28th!  TRiO students will meet dismissed from class, depending on your schedule.  Juniors, make sure to find and know your social security number, so that we can begin the process of applying for Financial Aid.  We will be signing up for your Financial Student Aid I D’s, reviewing Senior checklist material and preparing for four-year College applications in you English class, either 3rd or 5th period.

 

TRiO Students planning to go on the FREE College Campus Tour, make sure to turn in your registration material as soon as possible.  You must have paperwork submitted to save your spot. Spots are filling up quickly, so don’t miss out on this FREE opportunity. We will be visiting Chico State, Sacramento State, U C Davis,U C Santa Cruz, San Jose State, San Francisco State, and Sonoma State (and more!); all meals and FUN is FREE.  The trip is from Sunday, June 17th to Thursday, June 21st.

 

Volleyball sign ups are in the office for next year.

Petition for SFHS ASB Officer will be available in the office or from Ms. McClure starting Monday, May 20.  Petitions need to be filled out and turned back into the office by Tuesday, May 28. Candidates for class and general ASB offices will give a short speech to the student body on Friday, May 31.  Elections will be held the following week during 4th period.

 

Seniors Caps and Gowns are thirty dollars. You may pick them up at break or lunch in the office.

Both baseball and softball won their games! Which means both go to the championship Saturday. Baseball starts at 1:00 and softball starts at 2:00.

Also Friday during 4th period: School Color War: Freshmen and Juniors wear Gold, Seniors and Sophomores wear blue.  This will also be the division for teams for the game during 4th period.

 

On Friday, during 4th period, there is a rally.  ASB will be hosting a wiffle ball game.  This will be on the football field, classes should sit in the home bleachers.

Athletes interested in learning more about NCAA divisions and playing at a college level, there will be a presentation by Mark Brooks on Tuesday, May 21st in Mr. Wilsey’s classroom during 2nd and 5th period.  This is a great opportunity to learn more about how to apply to the NCAA program and how to prepare for continuing competitive sports in college.
