Cheer Meeting Rescheduled!  Cheer season is right around the corner. We are having a MANDATORY meeting on April 5th at 3:45 pm after school. If you are interested in cheering or you know someone we will be doing try-outs. You will learn a short dance and a sideline cheer. Returning cheerleaders try on uniforms before the 5th. There are no late sign-ups, uniforms take 6 – 8 weeks to get! If for any reason you are unable to make it on the 5th  please let me know. Lori Ruiz 707-599-5570

Southern Humboldt Schools Foundation Corned Beef Dinner            THIS WEEKEND! Please join us at Redway School on Saturday March 17 from 4 to 7:30 for corned beef and cabbage. There will be performances and displays of student art as well as a dessert sale by class of 2021.

CONGRATULATIONS    Lily Carr is the Southern Humboldt Regional Spelling Bee Champion. She is an 8th grade student at Casterlin School and will be representing us at the Humboldt County Spelling Bee. Leeland Salomon is runner up and will attend the Humboldt County Spelling Bee as well. Nadia Minikle of Casterlin placed third, followed by Aiden Gutshall and Braxton Tucker tied for fourth, and Lyndsee Brewer rounded out the top contestants in fifth place. Congratulations to all who participated

 

Healthy Kids Survey      Permission slips will be going out this week for students in 7th grade to participate in the California Healthy Kids Survey. This anonymous, voluntary, survey is used to put programs in place and monitor their effectiveness. The survey will be done during one class period online in Ms. Hughes social studies classes.

 

Bus Route Change         There will be no north bus for the rest of the school year.
