Agnes J. Johnson School is located in the northwestern portion of the Southern Humboldt Unified School District. The school community is in a mountainous, rural, area along the Eel River. The school is north of the district office in Miranda. The school serves the students of the surrounding communities including Weott, Myers Flat, and Miranda.
The school enrolls about 80 students from Kindergarten through 6th grade. The purpose of Agnes J. Agnes J. Johnson has 4 classrooms in use. It also has a multi-purpose room where you can find the cafeteria, a stage, and the gymnasium. There is a large play area for the students along with a large baseball field. There is also a chicken coop and a garden.
